Revival. I know it's been months since I last posted on this adventure blog, but that's because I figured there wasn't anything unique about my mundane life at college. I could tell you all of the things I've done, the great weekends I've had, but everyone has those stories. However, this coming January, which is in two short mind blowing months, I will be going abroad to Beijing, China! This is outrageous considering how soon January will be here. Over the last couple of months I have enjoyed my time on campus. Going to class, Ultimate Frisbee practice, and overall having more fun than I probably should be. Anyway, every now and then I catch myself thinking about leaving St. Olaf and it honestly bums me out some that I'm going to miss an Interim on campus. Hanging out with friends? Playing Ultimate? Working out everyday? I mean Interim is like the time to do all the things you wish you could do during the school year. But this is alright because last night I had a dream, in Chinese! I remember in the dream we were getting ready to go and I was outrageously pumped and excited to go. Then I was in China buying food and the Chinese wasn't the most fluent, but it made sense to me at least. I don't know if it was grammatically correct, but it's an encouraging sign. The dream had a very serene and natural feel to it, as if it's what is meant to be.
I was planning on writing about my time in China on this blog as well so keep an eye out!
Best wishes,
Vinh
